Mission

Our mission is to help connect Boston artists and audiences to the global evolution of contemporary dance. We are committed to:

• growing programming and community
• helping to lead the way in the making of conceptual dance-theater performance
• encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and
• helping artists develop nationally and internationally marketable work and building audience appreciation for it.

by:

• creating programs that prepare young dancers for college dance majors, that increase experience for students currently majoring in dance, and that offer graduates opportunities to help further their careers
• collaborating with a wide variety of artists on smaller and on evening-length original dance-theater works, and
• offering mentored development of other dancemakers’ work and partnering with other organizations on audience-building, engagement and education.
